  2. We used this device on a long trek across the USA. It did not detect any legitimate threats. It sounded many false alarms when passing near road construction but missed real threats from police cars who had pulled cars over to the side. So, I don’t really know how to rate it as it did not help us at all. Perhaps all detectors would do the same, but given this experience, I would not buy this device again

  3. Had this detector for almost 2 years now, using it on a daily basis. It works great and saved me from numerous tickets. So, it has paid for itself many times. The only problem I have with it is the button to release it from the clip on the window. It wears out way too quickly. After about 5-6 months, the spring in the button gives up and it will no longer stay clipped onto the windshield. The good thing is the warranty is long and the support is fairly prompt. So, I was able to have it fixed each time at no additional cost (than just sending it in). But, it’s annoying to have to keep doing it and more annoying I guess when the warranty runs out.

  4. I’ve never had one of these before so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. But, as far as I can tell, it’s done it’s job. When it starts freaking out you slow down, it’s as simple as that! I don’t recommend trying to use it in highly populated areas though. There seems to be too much interference and the thing goes bonkers when there is nothing to worry about. The long stretches of freeway with nothing on them is the way to go. Drive safe!!! :)

  5. I purchased two of these detectors a little over a year ago. At fist they worked fine and did a good job of detecting. I’ve always liked the talking alerts because they are easier to hear/recognize when you have the music up a little. But within 8-9 months they BOTH crapped-out on me. I’d recommend you save your money and buy a cheap detector. They all pretty much work the same and you have to look at them as disposable these days. I turned around and bought some $35 Cobra’s on eBay.
